CHU Ste-Justine

Implementation of eLearning Management System

  • Customization of an eLearning Kentico Extension
  • New Intuitive Interfaces for users and managers

Needs and requirements analysis

Working alongside the CHU Ste-Justine team we identified current and future needs that the chosen system would need to fill for a university hospital – staff and HR needs, students and professors, doctors with protocols to offer the world, and of course the need for public education on health and well-being.

Selection of technology platform

CHU Ste-Justine’s new website is built in Kentico CMS. The first question was : “was the eLearning management system (LMS) for Kentico, created by a British company, up to the task of a large hospital and university setting?”; or did we need a mature industry standard tool, thus ununifing all of Ste-Justine’s online offering under one system? With the knowledge that there was a lot of work to be done on both sides in order to get the desired result, we chose Kentico.

Customization of the LMS

We created workarounds for technical constraints and idiosyncrasies of the LMS, proposed ideas that would scale to a larger audience, and got the entire team involved in remodeling the LMS; a new UI design, reworked UX, and reorganized architecture for much of the content.
